Youth Fellowship
STUFF FOR YOUTH
Opportunities for young people to engage in learning experiences and youth fellowship are very important at OPC. We encourage and support our youth and their families as they transition from "Sunday School kids" to young adults by providing opportunities for study, growth and fellowship. Our youth groups meet upstairs in the McDill Youth Youth Center in the Presbyterian Seminary building at the corner of Church and Poplar Streets.
Middle School
Grades 6TH through 8TH
Our Middle School Youth Group meets most Friday nights for faith and fellowship from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. We play games, have a snack, do devotions, then end with prayer time. All youth in 6TH through 8TH grade are invited and friends are always welcome.
We also do fun outings, retreats, service projects, and goofy stuff!
High School
Grades 9TH through 12TH
At this time our High Chool Youth Group is event-based, meeting monthly for fun gatherings, retreats, service projects, and Bible study. All youth in 9TH through 12TH grade are invited and friends are always welcome.
Confirmation Class
Grades 8TH and 9TH
We offer spring confirmation class for youth in 8TH and 9TH grades.
Mission Trips
Youth & Adults
We have a youth mission trip each year. This year our 6TH through 12TH grade youth are going to St. Louis, July 27TH through August 3RD 2012, to work at service agencies through Group Workcamp's "Week of Hope" program. Cist is $425.00 per person, most of which will be raised through spring fundraisers. For more information about this program, please click here.
