Service Opportunities
PLUGGING IN TO OXFORD & BEYOND FOR OUTREACH & MISSION
The following opportunities for service are available in the Oxford community. Although these are not direct ministries of OPC, our members are engaged in volunteering and you are encouraged to join in!
Habitat for Humanity
Volunteers are needed for the local Habitat House being built in College Corner, Ohio. For more information contact Jim Lipnickey, 523-8842.
Oxford Community Choice Pantry (OCCP)
Volunteers are needed for work at the OCCP during the times listed below as well as miscellaneous times throughout each month for sorting and stocking shelves. Training is provided. For more information or to volunteer contact Melissa Engelhard.
- Mondays and Thursdays, 4:30 to 7:00 p.m.
- 3RD Tuesdays, 1:30 p.m. to help unload the Shared Harvest truck
Family Resource Center &Thrift Store
Volunteers, donations, and shoppers are needed for the Family Resource Center Thrift Store. The store is open to the public with a wide range of household items, clothing, children's toys, strollers, CD's, and much more all priced to sell. Proceeds support the mission of the Family Resource Center. The store is located at 5445 College Corner Pike behind the Family Resource Center. For more information and to volunteer call the store, 523-2047. Hours of operation are:
- Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Mondays and Thursdays, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
- Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
