"Learn About Us" Classes
EXTRA CLASSES FOR ADULTS
At OPC we wish to have an informed and educated congregation. To this end we offer special classes throughout the year. These are generally short-term, sometimes only one-time, classes that meet a specific identified need. Here are a few that are offered regularly throughout the year:
Bible Study & Topical Issues Classes
These classes are offered throughout the year. Times and schedules are avalailble online at ... and are announced in the OPC newsletter.
New Member Class
We welcome new members throughout the year and we understand that not all who may wish to join our church are familiar with what being a Presbyterian means. These classes are intended so that new members may understand the denomination who we are a part of, get to know others who are interested in joining the church, and ask questions in general about being a Presbyterian and specific to OPC. These classes generally are held one time and last about an hour. If you are interested in joining the church, please see Barbara or Mark after Sunday worship to discuss it with them and learn with the next new member class will be held.
Church Officer Training
For those who have accepted the call to be an officer in the church, we offer special training. These classes are intended to explain the duties of the offices and the expectations of the officers. They also offer an opportunity to discuss the responsibilities and to ask questions.
